Music is life and life is music.
If you can be quiet and still, you can hear the songs of our ancestors.
Live your life out of love, not fear.

It’s easy to get discouraged right now. We know what the US House has done, we know what the incoming President has stated, but none of that changes Who You Are. They can force us to change what we do, what sports we play, but they can’t change our identity.

In 2019 I was privileged to be one of the speakers at an ACLU rally on the sidewalk outside of the SCOTUS Building. Inside oral arguments for Bostock v Clayton Co were beginning. Good luck to the plaintiffs in US v Skrmetti today.

My heart goes out to those who have been sexually assaulted and I hope that their attacker was brought to justice. The fear of another SA isn’t justification to ban an entire group of people from a restroom. The only logical solution is for the victim to use a single occupant facility.

Dear trans community,

Sarah McBride isn’t our Martin Luther King Jr., at least not in this moment. Yes, she’s the first trans person elected to Congress, but she wasn’t elected because she is trans. Her identity is a fact, but it is incidental to her election.

Christina Dalcher has decided that it’s important to share with her 15000 plus followers, the things I said and attempted to accomplish in the Kansas House. She misgenders me and others in the process. Charlotte Clymer, Admiral Rachel Levine, Taylor Small, Danica Roem, and Sarah McBride.
