A new 8 x 8 encaustic relief called "The Best of the Panhandle," the old letter was written in Texas in the early 20's by Great Aunt Clara and the letter talks about a tournament won by her school team, hence the title!

A 6x6 that I worked on yesterday. Calling it "Overseas". I wonder if my mind was on the upcoming Nor'easter which is hitting us now. It looks like the waves from a ferry.

New piece today, called "Sweet 16". The old letter was written in 1944 to an army soldier who hadn't yet been reported to Europe to fight in WWII. She's only 16 and he's not much older.

I got to the studio early yesterday to work and aside from a minor injury and what could have ended in a failure, I managed to save this piece! Kind of an exciting process:) I never know what will happen!

The bottom of this encaustic painting is a fully dry shelf mushroom. Below is one of my plant monoprints on shaped 1/2" MDF board. Calling it "Growth Spurt". Missing the plant life and mushroom foraging outside.

Opening Feb 2, 1-4 at the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury, MA. is the DAA Winter juried show. My piece "In the Blink of an Eye" won third place in Alternative materials! Lots of beautiful work up and you can see it till the middle of April.

I did this in 2017 during his first term and it is relevant again! "Under Attack". The text reads,eliminate the environmental protection agency, the national endowment for the arts and deport immigrants.

Working on a panel extension so I can give it a cleaner display on the wall. This is a piece I reworked because the first round I wasn't happy with. The wax extends 1 1/2" off the wall and lifts up about 5", I'm calling it "Free Radical"
