The company’s stock rose by over 16% at its peak on Wednesday to C$137.98 in Toronto, its biggest increase since April 9 when US President Donald Trump announced a 90-day pause on tariffs against Canada and other nations. Canadian markets were closed on July 1 for the Canada Day holiday.

Ugly trading morning for the TSX today after yesterday's tariff announcement, though it's outperforming the S&P 500.

Biggest decliners include Aritzia, Shopify, and Celestica. Dollarama is the top performer on a Q4 earnings beat.

Long weekend smoking project: a whole pork shoulder with a dry kosher salt brine, apple juice injection, dry spices rub and nine hours of smoking and occasional apple juice/apple cider vinegar/bourbon spritz. Love the bark on it.
