There are also grips you can add to existing hooks, I’ve seen a few people in my craft groups using pencil grips or silicone ergo grips

It’s best to use yarn all the same weight. Sorting your yarn scraps as you finish projects helps a lot; I use repurposed peanut butter jars with the lids labeled in Sharpie.

Loom knitting is another option, I find it to be gentler on my hands. I have nerve damage and tendon issues in both arms, so I mostly do loom knitting now. Nalbinding is another one I find to be on the gentle side too

That’s an idea! I have about 400g of it left so I might do a wrap or shawl

Merino likes having more twist in it. I’m working with a merino silk blend right now that just loves falling apart. I’ve had to spin a few bobbins back onto new bobbins to add more twist before plying them.

Probably wise 😆 otherwise you'll end up drowning in fiber arts tools and supplies! I love seeing the movement lately toward offline activities and reviving older crafts, so I'm hoping to help as many people dip their toes into fiber arts as possible.

Very very true! Maybe a scrappy hat or some socks?

Mostly I do loom knitting, nalbinding, and embroidery, but I dabble casually in other things like weaving. I initially designed this little loom as a starter kit for kids at our county fair that wanted to try it out. My mom has a Schact 4-harness that I’d like to try out someday :)

Better to have too much than not enough! I really like the colors, it looks good knitted up :)

I hope your pain eases up soon! Been there, it’s not fun. Hopefully you have a good heating pad, I found that helps a lot when my back acts up.

Do you have a good light with a magnifier? I’ve found that helps immensely

Sure thing! Feel free to DM me if you aren’t quite sure what to do or want some pointers
