I do not say this lightly, but I suspect James Dobson did not die as painfully as he deserved.

We're talking about primaries? In 2020, I donated to 5 primary candidates. I didn't donate to Bernie, because I didn't think he really gave a shit about civil rights, but I would have voted for him if he won the nom. I'll vote for Newsom if I have to, but not in a primary.

At this moment, there are at least 10 people in Texas who want to have an abortion, but can't, and 10 people in Palestine who are in absolute fear of dying, and 10 people born in Israel whose loved ones were tortured to death on October 7, and what do your "inherent rights" mean to them?
July 16, 2025 at 3:51 AM
No, actually. Practical means a thing that happens. A thing "in practice." If it doesn't happen and you can't make it happen, it's not practical.

I'd like to believe you. The way the stuff you're willing to talk about it makes me think you have weird priorities.

"Inherent rights" is an ideologically interesting idea with no practical virtue.

That's cute. Try exercising your right to abortion in Texas right now. A philosophical right is meaningless if you can't exercise it. And frankly, that's the point. Sure, I get that you feel for Palestinians, but not Syrians, Yemens, or Congans, but our own oxygen mask has failed in the U.S.

Harris didn't commune with rightists on a podcast or throw trans people under the bus. That isn't baggage, it's betrayal. Newsom isn't our only choice. And I'll vote for someone else in a presidential primary. If he wins a primary, I'll vote for the fucker.
July 16, 2025 at 2:28 AM
That's a joke. People only have rights when they live in states that defend those rights. A right doesn't exist where it can't be defended. You're avoiding the question.
July 16, 2025 at 2:00 AM
You didn't. So I guess I should ask if you think Israel has a right to exist?
July 16, 2025 at 1:57 AM
Exactly, it's not Israeli kids' fault they were born where they were born, either.
July 16, 2025 at 1:54 AM
I think I'm a pretty normie liberal, and I don't live in California, so it isn't up to me, but I'm not ready to forgive Newsom for platforming shitty right people and throwing trans people under the bus.

Are you a Native American? If not, where are you offering to move to to alleviate the cultural genocide of Native Americans that has been happening in the Americas for 100s of years? Or is it just that kids who were born in Israel should be relocated and you are morally awesome just for saying so?
