The purpose of art (one of them) is to help the artist understand their world and then convert that understanding to others through whatever medium they use. This is why artists can't stop making art, it is part of their coping mechanism.

Agreed. The experiences of POCs dealing with oppression start even before birth. White LGBTQ+ people, while they may start to feel society trying to erase their existence at an early age, have the ability to hide their differences in a way that POCs never will

I think we are well past the "slowly" stage. But notice how the public all stand up and take notice when it's not a POC. And see how much harder the administration works to discredit them. They don't really have to do that with POCs, because we all know they are violent undesirable, right?

They probably COULD do it if they allocated resources to figuring it out....

All unions should be supported when they feel the need to strike. And if you say "but what about essential workers?" I say if they are so essential take care of their needs so the don't feel the need to strike.

At 1:15am reading this, and it resonates with me more than I can say. I've known since I was 7, and growing up in a Catholic home I denied and suppressed it for years. Long story short, I finally came out in my 50s. I lost a lot of my old life and the security it gave me, but found true happiness

I had trauma before social media existed: social media gave me the tools to connect with others like me and start the healing process. Social media is a tool, and tools are not good or bad: the people who weird them determine their use.
