People forget the poem "First they Came" was written by a Nazi supporter, who assumed that he was safe and on the side that was going to rid the world of degenerates and evil. And it was only when the Nazis came for him and sent him to a camp himself that he realized what he had done.
People need to realise that every single person who is allowed to suffer injustice is just the start. It's not "oh they've got trans and disabled people now". Every injustice no matter how small makes the next one easier to carry out.
People need to realize that trans people and disabled people are just the frontlines. If they can get the broad public comfortable sacrificing these groups, they’re not going to stop there
