In case any @frankerfacez.com are wondering why it's broken in @firefox.com and has been for eight days now, it's because we're still waiting for Firefox to approve the update. And, after eight days, we finally got... this.

Firefox users, please ensure you're using our user-script and not the addon

I sometimes use Google's news feed thing to scroll when I'm bored, and in the past week I've had to block like twelve different Fox News channels. This is obnoxious. It just keeps finding more random Fox YouTube channels it can try directing me too.

Google is absolutely part of the problem.

Twitch changed their font stuff again. Hopefully this won't result in too many people complaining that it's different now in the FrankerFaceZ support channels.

If any things look super weird for you, try clearing any custom font size in FrankerFaceZ (Appearance > Theme >> Fonts).

I've spent way too much time looking into why the channel page on Twitch randomly refreshes itself after a bit of time, but I've come to realize that it happens even without any extensions running.

Today's FFZ update doesn't stop the refresh, but does fix it breaking FFZ features, so yay I guess.

Been reading over that Epic v. Apple thing people have been talking about, and this part caught my attention.

Just in a "What the fuck is Apple smoking, have they even looked at Steam before?" kind of way.

Steamworks has so many features for developers. Everything a gaming platform should have.

I don't know who needs to read this, but:

Wait for reviews.
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered available on Steam ($49.99) buff.ly/Ew6cMjx

includes story expansions Shivering Isles, Knights of the Nine, and additional downloadable content included in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.

The review situation for Firefox add-ons is pretty dumb. There are multiple users leaving 1 star reviews accusing me of deleting their reviews, which I can't do.

One user gave us a 1 star review for being "broken", I explained 7tv is having an outage, and they deleted and re-rated without comment.

My favorite part of the whole Firefox situation is this one anonymous user who keeps leaving 1 star reviews claiming we keep deleting their reviews. We don't even have the option to delete reviews. Idiot keeps violating the rules and Mozilla staff is nuking them (as far as I can tell.)

23 days later, Firefox has finally approved an update for FrankerFaceZ. 23 days. 13 days since the latest update was authored. Yeah. Cool. Woo...
So. Let's talk about @firefox.com. There are good things about Firefox. It's very good that there's competition with Chrome. It's good that Firefox is standing up for technology that benefits the users, like ad-blockers.

As a user, Firefox is a great thing and I really appreciate what they do. But.

I am going to rant about Firefox later, but I just got up after sleeping terribly so I don't have it in me just yet.

Discord needs pinned messages that stay on screen until they're dismissed for channels.

That would help so much with support channels. Today in the FFZ server there has been a constant stream of people asking the same question and failing to read so much as 3 messages above theirs.

The typical FrankerFaceZ release timeline in a nutshell:

- I release an update.
- It is immediately available for user-script users.
- Chrome approves the update within 3 hours to 24 hours.
- Firefox still hasn't approved the previous update from 8 days ago, let alone this new one.

Thanks, Chrome. Exactly what I wanted.

No effective ad blockers and AI garbage everywhere in dev tools with no options to disable it.

I thought this was supposed to be a @frame.work event but they won't shut up about AMD.

Sometimes I'll be logging into a site and I'll just hit login straight away because of autofill. But after I click the button, a captcha appears. Then the page submits anyways, then it yells at me for not solving it.

It's pretty frustrating. Why even enable the button before the captcha loads?

The amount of development time I have put into @frankerfacez.com over specifically webpack, and not just webpack, but specifically webpack not exposing one specific variable... is way too much.

webpack at runtime is so annoyingly fragile.

My Vault got you if want to backup your Twitch memories or just want to mass export them to Youtube.
It's even possible to add a chat overlay or upscale the video if you streamed in an odd resolution.

I hope Bluesky gets a way to check on the status of things you've reported sooner rather than later.

1. Getting feedback would make it much easier to know if I'm reporting the right things.
2. Knowing that right-wing extremists I've reported have been dealt with would be satisfying.

Seen a bunch of people thinking the weird sensors on the Switch 2 controllers mean you'll be able to use them like mice.

If that's true, then I really hope we'll be able to just connect a standard mouse because the ergonomics of using one of those controllers on its side looks terrible, lol

Today, Corsair iCUE uninstalled itself from my PC. Again. Second time this has happened within two months.

What is even happening at Corsair? The software for my old Corsair keyboard was way better than this slop.

Developers who use rough time estimates like "1 month ago" and don't let you somehow access the exact time and date, like in a tooltip or something, are not my favorite developers.

I'm looking at you, some people at YouTube.

It's such asshole design that Discord keeps resetting the option to disable their annoying alternative notification sounds.

Just let us turn it off and leave it off. I'm not gonna suddenly want your app to sound differently next year when you make a slightly different Christmas/Halloween theme.

Just remembered the Godot fork "Redot" a bunch of "anti-woke" idiots started after they got mad at Godot for posting a tweet with the word woke in it and thought I'd check in on it.

As far as I can tell it is just a straight fork with the name and logos replaced. ... and that's it. Outstanding.
