But it did consider this! That's why their Constitution has separation of powers, and checks and balances. But it all relies on people willing to commit to the constitution and enforce it; if they don't, the constitution is meaningless. And the founders knew this.

This event reminds me of FSB's attempt to fabricate a plot for political assassination (see pic below). Looking the "anti-ICE" text on a bullet casing really looks like somebody being told to write something anti-ICE on it, and then execute the order literally without imagination or initiative.

It also makes it a little easier for Ukrainians to find and track their missign children. A stolen child is in the catalogue? Good, the child is still alive! A stolen child was adopted? Then somebody somewhere has the records for how to find them!
