Listen to your teammates. If the majority of them are comfortable with a particular syntax and you're not, reconsider your stance. Prioritize testability, maintainability, and performance instead. Hold the team accountable as a unit.

Mob programming or code reviews are valuable tools for defining what "readable" means in the context of a project.

"Clean" or "readable" code should be a collaborative concept. Rather than asserting universal "readability," we should strive for local "readability" within the team that supports and maintains the code.
