The real shame of the Trump presidency is that the U.S. missed its chance to see how Doug would have decorated the White House for Christmas.

He’s an inflatables guy, right?

He has to be…

I’m constantly in awe of the lengths to which our cities will go to ruin any potential moment of comfort simply to prevent the unspeakable possibility that someone may sleep on a public bench @metrotransitmn.bsky.social I hope whoever designs this trash never finds a single true moment of rest.

More surprised than I should be to be some of the youngest people in attendance at this weekday afternoon State Fair performance of a reggae Talking Heads tribute band.

@bridgettodd.bsky.social Thx for the Target ep! Target had been a retreat for me (esp. living in MN) when I needed to wander around looking for dopamine, plus size clothing, & most of our groceries/household stuff. I genuinely miss it & appreciate hearing your perspective as a fellow ex-Target fan.

@inbedwiththeright.bsky.social On your discussion of the weirdness of the constant, compulsory hitler salute in July 1933 reminds me of some of the opening scenes in Conspiracy. It’s so awkward that they flat out acknowledge that they can’t keep it up all day.

@margaret.bsky.social Thank you for this week’s CPWDCS. I’m a legal secretary & it’s so hard to find orgs that allow nonlawyers but where I could potentially find opportunities to do good with the specialized knowledge I have & love to use.

Pete Hegseth hates equity too much to have matching sideburns. That short sideburn isn’t some special snowflake. It takes what little hair it can get and it’s happy about it.

I realize that pointing out hypocrisy goes nowhere nowadays but my brain won’t let go of this: the US tried to mitigate the economic losses from outsourcing manufacturing by creating jobs in prisons. Now we are paying wild tariffs AND paying other countries to run our concentration camps.

Honestly ready to just throw the stock market into Old Man Mertle’s yard so no one gets to play with it anymore.

@fivefourpod.bsky.social This feels like a bit. (Don’t worry. It downloaded once I refreshed it)

The Canadians at this U.S. v. Canada hockey game booing America’s national anthem kinda stings. I cannot blame them, just mad at us for deserving it so hard.

I’m sure we’re all sick of the Hitler comparisons by now, but taking over the Kennedy Center because art is too woke feels too much like outlawing “degenerate” art in the 30s to let it go unsaid.

A snuggly kitten to break up a little bit of my nihilism.

If Trump dismantles the Department of Education, there is 0% chance I’m paying back any student loans. Try enforcing that with just Elon & 5 scrawny nazis babies. I’ll just Venmo $250 to a random college kid every month instead.

I suppose it makes sense to be threatened by DEI if you are in fact a mediocre, entitled, pile of landfill sludge in an ill-fitting suit

If I don’t end up on some kind of McCarthy-esque watchlist during this administration, what am I even doing with my life?
