First week at work has been a success! I'm super excited to get deeper into training and finding my place in things. It feels too good to be true almost.

I've been practicing bass for nearly a year and a half seriously now. I'm thinking I'm okay at it, as I've been doing at least a few hours a week among 2+ days. I've still got so much to learn but it's nice to finally get a musical skill under my belt. I've wanted it all my life.

It's wild to me that I'm drinking a caffeinated beverage at 2:30 pm. I've gotta fix my sleep schedule to adjust to my new job which means I need to stay up until after 11:00 pm reliably. Which means I get to try and relive the experience of playing video games past my bedtime.

Got asked to make something "healthy" for dessert for tomorrow. Gluten free oatmeal cookies made with a zero-calorie sweetener base. Lots of cinnamon and ginger to add punch to the flavour. It's always nice to flex that option on short notice. They're extra chewy, can't wait to cool them! #baking

Finished this lovely book today. Ashley Herring Blake makes great, comfy romance novels. It's hard not to feel good after reading one. I'm also well aware of the irony of using a tarot card as a bookmark in this particular case. 💙📚
