Texas didn’t learn from Kansas. But we can. This is what GOP control looks like when nothing stops it. Rigid tax rules, gutted services, blame for the powerless, and escape hatches for the rich. It’s not a budget. It’s a blueprint for collapse.

When the pain hits, Republicans will blame teachers, cities, migrants, or “woke waste.” Don’t fall for it. They pulled the pin. The GOP’s corporate wing wrote the laws, passed the amendments, and locked the exits. The crash is policy. The suffering is planned.

Schools, infrastructure, healthcare, energy resiliency, emergency response; all will be starved. GOP policies will shrink Texas down to a branding slogan while billionaire donors laugh from tax havens. It’s not “small government.” It’s systemic defunding on autopilot. youtu.be/xJlG9CkHV1c

Prop 4 cuts property taxes with no offset. Prop 7 siphons oil revenue into education but only to suppress school taxes, not fund schools. Prop 9 mandates COLA increases without funding. These aren’t reforms. They’re engineered constraints. Future sabotage, baked in.

Texas just locked in 17 new amendments that will function like landmines. They cap revenue, mandate new spending, restrict future fixes, and create structural deficits by design. It’s a fiscal trap Republicans built on purpose. The damage won’t be accidental. youtu.be/y3BNCuvbVw0

Kansas tried this first. Massive tax cuts. Education gutted. Highways defunded. Credit rating slashed. Job growth tanked. Schools went to 4-day weeks. Brownback called it bold. Voters called it a disaster. It took years and bipartisan revolt just to stop the bleeding.
