Indeed, Erdoğan decided to withdraw from the #IstanbulConvention without considering that only 7% of Turkish people were against the Convention.

Groups and movements have come together to help women denounce acts of violence. Turkey’s #WeWillStopFemicide group is one of them: a network of activists and campaigners. It works to push for changes to Turkish law, and runs a hotline to support women who are in danger.
