We are soon saying goodbye to a President who absolutely cherishes our Democracy - and we are inexplicably handing it back over to a President who literally tried to destroy it.

It's OK if that feels jarring and dangerous and a little scary - it should, for everyone.

Trump and his henchmen are ready to roll out Project 2025: slashing Veterans' benefits, firing VA public servants, and replacing them with loyalists. The end game? Privatizing the VA. And we all know which filthy rich billionaires will be circling for those contracts.

God bless Jimmy Carter. There are few politicians that have such big hearts, who actually care about human beings. It breaks my heart that he wasn’t able to see the first woman elected president. It’s so sad that we live in a world that wouldn’t have gifted that to him and to us.

RIP Jimmy.

I am so saddened by this.

Jimmy Carter is the first president I can remember.

I remember my mom talking about him with fondness.

I remember "voting" for him in grade school.

I will forever remember his kindness, that is his legacy.
