It happened to four out of my six caliper sets. I replaced them with these www.amazon.com/dp/B095YF8NMQ hybrid hydraulics (they still use a cable, so they take ~10 minutes to swap and install) and the braking is far more consistent and they won't be prone to the sudden failure mode.

PSA: cheap ebikes are great, but they often come with Tektra Aries (or the like) mechanical disc brakes. These have an operational fault that will eventually put you in a situation where you suddenly cannot stop. On an 80lb bike in NYC this is a nightmare. Blix and Radpower need to drop these ASAP.
