The distinction between "Traditional" and "Modern" Country has literally ALWAYS been a thing in the format. The fact that this is the moment they decide to make the distinction is wild! I assure you, they have given Grammys to a lot of artists Country fans do not consider "Traditional", trust me!

I agree with you that the Grammy's are racist for this reason. I have worked in Country Radio for 25 years as a programmer and on air.
