It seems we created something really #toxic with social media and it won't be easy to change that. It's now defining #culture and #power, and #AI will only make it worse.

It seems that the #AI wars have begun. Will your #resume generating AI outsmart the AI on the other end? The hard question now becomes: how to detect the human. Maybe we will revert to person to person interviews only again? Might not be too bad.

The résumé is dying, and AI is holding the smoking gun
As thousands of applications flood job posts, ‘hiring slop’ is kicking off an AI arms race.

Millions of Palestinians are starving. Now a humanitarian ship en route to Gaza is being targeted by Israel. On board: food, medicine & 12 activists. The EU must act now to stop the aid blockade on Gaza! action.wemove.eu/sign/2025-6-...

I've been saying it for quite a while now: we are marching towards a global debt crisis, also known as unpayable debt. Just have a look at the animation on this #IMF page. This is systemic and tied to our debt based, interest bearing monetary system.

I asked #chatGPT how it would go about if it wanted societal collapse. Its answers were interesting.

Interesting questions to ask AI:
- What would happen to our monetary system if the economy slows down or goes into recession?
- Can we continuously grow our economy and keep our planet liveable?
- Arr there better election systems than the one vote per candidate/party per person?

Share the answers.

Can someone explain to me why it's so hard to explain how #money works and what the impact of our current system on #society is to #economists?

IMF: “Global financial stability at risk.”
You don’t say. Turns out a debt-based economy propped up by fragile trust and infinite growth isn’t future-proof.
Maybe it’s time for a money system that doesn’t implode on contact:

Anyone know someone who works for #AppleTV who would be open for a new idea for an upbeat post capitalistic series where dictators are the comic relief because they can't get anyone angry enough to start a revolution? #daretoask Based on real economic innovation and research.

I've been noticing something lately. There are a lot of people who raealize things need to change. Posts about all what is wrong do well. But it seems like posts that propose solutions do not so well. Am I wrong? If not, any idea why?

Theory: power concentration is the biggest problem we have as humanity. Changing the political and monetary system can leverage change in that aspect. Some possible solutions:

Canada imports only 17% of their products from the US. They are worried about their export of 75%. They should realize they are less dependant on the US than the US on them. An economic system does not have to grow.

I went to the apothecary today. While I was waiting I watched the commercials. OMFG!!!! There was an endless stream of skin care commercials! Like a snake oil shop telling women they are not beautiful enough. Stop it already! We don't need more commercials making people feel depressed for profit!

Since #AI is all the hype these days, I wondered what Chat GPT would have to say about rated #voting systems and their impact. Autocorrect changed 'likert' into likely in the first question but the rest is pretty enlightening I'd say.

The fact that people can get rich by just shuffling money around without contributing anything to society and that real world solutions for real world problems get blocked due to a lack of profitable business models is a huge problem to society.

I'm thinking: economic collapse is coming and ... that's a good thing ... in a sad way. Real change only seems to happen when disaster hits. I just hope we can prepare in time. The solutions for a real system change are there. Now we need people who will actually pull their head out of the sand.

"Follow the Money" is a well known phrase. But it's mainly accurate in the context of our current monetary system. I think a better saying would be: Follow the Incentives. It opens doors to critical thinking and system change.
