I feel like I'm going crazy. The photo I've had saved on my phone for ref while choosing fabrics has this thin stripe of slightly darker pink between the geometric trim and the white ruffle, but today I went to gather more refs and nothing else has it? Now I'm staring at photos of Aerith's hemline 🧐

Achieved maximum possible skirt length given 3m of fabric thanks to my handy dandy half circle ✂️

Can't believe I'm actually making a pattern for a circle skirt, but hopefully this will prevent me drawing the first half on the fabric then realising there isn't enough yardage for the second yet again. The big circle is how long I want it, the small one is what will definitely fit the fabric 😮‍💨

Went out for white fabric to make a skirt for Pride. Came back with all this 🤷‍♀️

It's here! It's installing! I still have 5 more hours of work before I can play!

I suppose I've officially started on this costume now since I realised this fabric was in my stash. Never mind that it's such a minor piece of the outfit I didn't even notice it when I was first breaking down the parts 😅

So I went op shopping looking for a Caleb coat, which didn't appear. But I did find 4m of this fabric for $6.50 TOTAL so I guess I'm making Essek instead (the intention is to keep this low cost and low effort because I already have plans for my next proper cosplay, hopefully i can keep to that 🤞)

I was so excited to see some other Critical Role cosplayers at Armageddon yesterday!
I'd forgotten how physically uncomfortable cons are but I had a good time and bought some goodies as well ☺️

Done with a hot and sweaty day at Armageddon expo. Let's hope this doesn't turn out like the time I ended up with a major breakout where the wig cap sat 😧

Gloves done!! That's everything ready with an evening to spare, so maybe tomorrow for a treat I'll tidy up some of the tragic mess my house has become while I've been crunching

It's after 8pm and I'm out of energy. I'll do a tiny bit of hand-sewing (to fix where part of the waistcoat is coming apart at the seam) and then quit for the day. I think I've left a reasonable amount that I should have the energy to get done after work over the next couple of days 🤞

OK this isn't looking terrible! My arms are gonna be weirdly darker than the rest of my body but if it means I don't have to do body paint I'm happy

I'd been tossing up whether or not I wanted to paint these straps, but I'm glad I decided to go for it. Wish I'd done it a bit neater but nobody will be looking very closely. I think it does help with looking a bit more real

Procrastination strikes again - this is the last day I have left to work on this cosplay and I've left myself so much to do 🥲

When I started this costume it was all finished seams, fully lined waistcoat... I'm now at the 'whatever works' stage, embracing electrical tape and messy-ass stitching if it'll keep things together just long enough

Now that I'm finally making progress on Imogen's accessories I'm slightly less panicked about con being in less than two weeks
