Profile of a gray and black knit hat with a repeating/alternating pattern. Its kinda like the black and white punk checks grew up into these chevrons. Top down view Laid flat - patterns like this will make a significant seam between each repeat, so it's super important to block a hat with a pattern like this to loosen it up and lessen the pucker Here's the pattern for this. Its free on Pinterest. I made it on size US 7 needles with 100 stitches. I used red heart yarn and even after blocking it, it's still pretty stiff and the size was smaller than I expected but will still fit most.

A tan knit hat with red and white mushrooms. They're meant to look lime amanita muscaria, commonly known as fly agaric or redcaps. Imagine wearing this thing in the woods while foraging. There's a perfect cup of hot chocolate waiting for you in a car that's had the heat on just long enough to warm you up without sofficating you. The hot chocolate smells like childhood, but has upgraded the fake marshmallows to whipped cream, and it's just starting to melt. Stay cozy, my friends. 💚

This is how it feels today, yes.

A mushroom knit pattern. Its my most favorite pattern I've made to date because it's fast and easy and symmetrical and comes out exactly how it should. Kinda like you 💚 The mushroom pattern worked into a hat. It'll work on anything that takes a multiple of 16. So versatile. So shiny. We can talk about tension, too, here - I thought I was getting puckers from pulling too tightly with the lead yarn, but turns out, it's the opposite. You still want to leave it loose enough that it can stretch, but the form is what holds the hat up. I hope that's helpful to like two people in the same development stage that I'm in with knits. I love both of you so much and hope we can talk about knits and share patterns and talk shit on those loud ass motorcycles that can't even start on these colder mornings. Its like listening to erectile dysfunction. Anyway you're so smart and I love you. 💚

A craft fair display of knit hats set up inside a pop up canopy. I wish I had gotten a picture of it once it was actually dark out. We cracked open some glow sticks and lit it up, baybeeeeee! It was my favorite set up to date despite it being chaotic as fuck. If you feel stuck in chaos, take a quick second to yourself away from the world and breathe in a cool breeze that smells like fallen leaves and a hint of cinammon. Just keep inhaling that one breath deeeeeep into your toes. When you open your eyes, unicorns are now back in this world - you did it! You're so awesome! 🦄

They are each adorable. This is the pattern I used for the snails. It's from Pinterest. The yarn is from Walmart 💅 This pattern was hand drawn onto graph paper while I was at work, a place I HATE, so the angry eye checks out, but doesn't actually end up having any emotion on the finished piece. Maybe sleepy, I guess, with the v shaped stitch. Anyway thanks for reading this far. You're wonderful and I bet animals you meet like you more than they like their owners. 😘
