Yes. And blue spill is less destructive on skin tones. If I remember well for the old superman 78 when/if they were using blue screens they were using different color temperature on the FG element to help with separation. And then they would color correct after the matte extraction, pretty smart.

It’s getting funnier by the day over there. Also… these people don’t even have their buddy in power yet and they rip each others apart. It’s gonna be a dumpster fire.

Why we do characters using CGI sometimes instead of practical … And we do a lot of practical makeup and SFX too, but you have to choose the right tools for the right outcome. A extract from the video I posted earlier with @jamesgunn.bsky.social
