Where is our demilitarization movement? Remember the peace movement of the 60’s, or the anti-nukes folks of the 80s. We are truly sleepwalking at this point.

also I remember protesting in the streets against WTO and NAFTA: free trade used to represent the consolidation of transnational capital, and the risk of oligarchs amassing power, etc. 20-30 years later…

where’s our peace movement? if trade war escalates, how far do we go? sure, orange man bad, but we need to be mobilizing a different discourse here. the algorithms and the press and the attention economy love the bellicose spirit of the age. internet folk need to re-mobilize for peace.
