The pink hatted snowman makes tinkling sound when someone walks past. The long, colorful blown glass which looks like candy, was a gift. Another snowman and a fancy rooster (gift). An old mercury glass lantern style ornament. Also, Santa! A long snowman and another spinner, plus a crocheted dove.

My Christmas tree ornaments. I’ve had the Polish egg since 1992, purchased from Bronner’s in Frankenmuth, Michigan. My blue spinner is an Atomic age plastic ornament that still spins! There is a star and a calliope spinner shown here. The green cut glass tree is newer, the yellow flower bulb from the 70s. I love snowmen! The green striped is just the perfect shade of grinch green.

Greetings on this snowy(!) Saturday. I did NOT believe the weather forecast for my area so it’s a nice surprise. Decided by to spring for a new tree this year, but didn’t want to spend a ton of cash. So BigLots! it was. Just unboxed, needs some shaping, but not bad for $79.

Two entries because I missed yesterday.
Deenie by Judy Blume. I was ten and it was the first time I encountered the subjects of menstruation and masturbation in a book. Luckily my mother was open minded to what I read. She read it after I did and appreciated Judy Blume’s writing. The Memory of Old Jack by Wendell Berry. This is when I fell in love with his writing. The Port William stories are national treasures.
