No problem, thanks for the update regardless! I'll be sure to get in some MVS cabinet matches of Last Blade 2 in your honor while there. 😉

Textbook case of "Beggars can't be choosers," I reason. Did you see my message here? Just checking.

Please remember to credit illustrator Daiken Yoko-o as well for any official Toshinden 2 & 3 era imagery- Mr. Yoko-o was T. Kotobuki's sole inking assistant & colorist between 1995-2001, not to mention his work on dojinshi, the tv anime "Cyber Team in Akihabara" & the '98 manga "Metallic Man Blues."

Hope this msg finds ya well! Considering your large reach & audience/demographic here, could you make a post about my longtime pal's fundraiser for Children's Hospital of Philly? He's a Lehigh Valley native, Neo*Geo OG & veteran arcade preservationist, especially w/ '90s era fighters & obscurities.

Best wishes for a thoroughly enjoyable birthday weekend 2-hit combo!

I'll pack a select few multiplayer games tomorrow morning, just in case. 👍

I'd bring that seldom-used Lite if it weren't loaned out to fam in Maryland thru Thanksgiving weekend. Booth's overall foot traffic & customer queries are likely going to be too busy for anything more than sporadic game snippets anyhow. I do have Capcom Fighting Collection Vol.2 for Switch, as well.

Did you currently own a Switch Lite or the original model of said console? Meant to inquire if you might be interested in trying one or two co-op games like Phantom Breaker tomorrow. I'll probably stick around that event for at least 4 hours prior to its closing.

The maternal grandparents had a modest lil' summer home in C.M. from like 1959-2014, and the only haunted locales I remember hearing about since preschool-onward were a long-defunct Polish/Slavic restaurant building & the routinely desolate neighborhood swimming hole, oddly enough.

I was deeply saddened to hear about his prolonged medical battles & untimely passing. I'll always remember his enthusiasm for vintage ridiculous B-movies, the Shin Megami Tensei games, & passion for Japanese samurai manga including Vagabond. Wish I'd gotten to know him better after 2007 introduction

638 South St. prior to like 2001 was an independently owned CD & vinyl album resale shop, right? At a loss for its name but I had friends around Catherine St. whom patronized it. Concerning Keith/Kyo: yes, he was a mutual friend I saw occasionally at events like WizardWorld, Magfest, & TooManyGames.

I vaguely remember the consumer electronics equipment store in the vicinity of Fat Jack's Comicrypt having modded consoles circa '01. Was the latter GameStop tenant on South leasing the same commercial storefront as the regional, fairly small "Game Gallery" chain? Seldom ventured inside either, IIRC

I don't recall Pat, Dave, yourself, & a few others ever accompanying me to Spaceport or another nearly forgotten joint that occasionally drew seasoned players of RBS & SamSho's pre-SNK-bankruptcy sequels. For anything Atomiswave-centric + VanillaSF4, we strictly paid visits to 40th St. Univ.Pinball

Which long-defunct shops/venues on South Street are you referring to? On a related note, were you ever frequenting The Gamerary on 12th & Walnut between '95 thru its abrupt closure before Thanksgiving of '99? Arguably the Center City hub for import-minded gamers & overlapping early FGC Usenet folks.

Oh man- I just remembered you guys getting amusingly carried away with nostalgia for those Captain Power series VHS tapes way back when. Closest thing we had on broadcast TV to Japanese Tokusatsu genre sci-fi during our childhoods.

Would you be interested in attending this event outside Philly either on the 28th or 29th? There are SF6, Melty Blood, Strive, & 3rd Strike contests, alongside various other non-fgc fare. Additionally, I can source you a comped admission for one day, please just lmk by Wednesday. Free parking, too.

"Nitzer Ebb riffed on the disco of Sylvester, as well as the unrestrained nature of the Birthday Party and the darkness of Bauhaus. Theirs was a body music that took aim at the geezers who wanted to fight them on a Saturday night."

Chrono Trigger in '95 routinely went for 80 range. PS IV: TEotM at nearly all department stores, KB, TRU, Egghead Software, Babbage's, et al. that same year initially priced it at $99. I waited for a Blockbuster to reduce its sole ignored & seldom-rented cartridge down to 25 the following winter.

Biblical levels of price jacking. Not sure if GameStop's trade-ins were cited & condemned in Proverbs & Revelation, though.
