Say it louder for the kids in back(GM office).

We were wondering if it had to do with his blood clot issue. High altitude is probably not ideal.

2. Terrible decisions about rotations
3. Terrible energy from half the squad

Outside of last night, we keep finding ways to get it done. They didn't go to Harris once at the end and Cade went empty more than normal. Stewart is shit at guarding 3 point line and we didn't hard hedge Keyonte at all.

Ok, but doesn't the fact that every one of these dudes can gives us 10-15 on any given night mean that they have value as well? They know their roles and they execute them well. Last night seemed to be three things all mixing perfectly to fuck everything up
1. Terrible defensive gameplan

Keyonte game winner?

Cade lefty hammer

Is this more so that it frees up Ivey and Ausar and Ron to get more finishing minutes or because you want to see MPJ cashing 6 deep balls a night like he is back in prime Denver run? Harris has been a pretty useful clutch time guy for us on offense when given the ball. I say yes even if we add a 1st

They are saving him for OT
December 27, 2025 at 4:54 AM
Sorry, Rick Mahorn, not Grant Long

If people haven't followed this Jazz team, they don't know that only like three teams have shut off Markkanen all year and they shoot the shit out of the ball.

Jazz likely blow this but this is a normal Jazz game. Listening to Champion and Long on the radio and they sound embarrassed this is close.
December 27, 2025 at 4:53 AM
He is frustratingly inconsistent. Had a really nice stretch last year during the Markkanen shutdown, but has been given so much opportunity and still leaves you wishing you remembered him every game. Excellent bench scorer guy, though.

Younger teams can run with them and these guys struggle with physicality sometimes. Also, OKC is making it seem like teams in the NBA don't have bad losses anymore. In watching closely, KD and Sengun are not vibing over the past week and it does not seem like they like the other going to hero ball.

@johnhollinger.bsky.social Giannis deal is clearly a no go.

7 FTAs vs 24 FTAs. No champion whistle tonight.

Isaiah Stewart

They might not move you, but, they don't have to end up in Detroit. That always helps.
December 21, 2025 at 8:28 PM
I think he is more a creator than facilitator with some ability to play off ball and that is how teams would see him
December 21, 2025 at 8:16 PM
Well, that is an interesting question when it comes to contract. Obviously, Nets is interesting as Cam Thomas for Ivey is intriguing. Orlando is interesting as the Tyus Jones experiment hasn't paid off. Simons for Ivey saves Boston from the tax and gives them a different look. Not a lot of options.
December 21, 2025 at 8:15 PM
Well, Ivey still has more ceiling than Anthony, while Holiday and Sexton are more specific role guys. Ivey is a way better project than almost any 2nd rounder and really, you could argue, that if you can make him a passable defender, he could be a great energy guy for any second unit. His worth? Hmm
December 21, 2025 at 7:51 PM
I would say he is worth a late or protected first since he won't be able to demand much on the open market. Two seconds seems reasonable for him.
December 21, 2025 at 7:07 PM
You have to have guys who can play that physical style comfortably, though. Some guys can't handle it and sometimes, like the Pistons on Thursday night, it costs you games because you get upset with how the refs decide to handle it that night.
