Musk would be wise not to confuse a long leash with power. Bannon and Miller are the siloviki here. They’re smarter and know far more about the levers. Musk is useful now to create chaos and take the spotlight but when he becomes inconvenient, he may find himself dancing too close to a window.

America is no longer Europe’s ally, nor Canada’s ally. The sooner European and Canadian leaders wrap their heads around this reality the better it will be for their citizens. The US is intent on destroying old relationships and Europe must have a coordinated response.
