This is a textbook case of checks and balances in action. One of the geniuses of our system of government is the system of checks and balances that prevents one branch from stealing too much power.

Our government is by the people, for the people. Not by the politicians for the politicians. This ruling empowers citizens to continue pushing for reforms that make our government more accountable, transparent, and responsive.

This is a win for Utah & will restore faith in our government. Utahns passed Prop 4 to demand fair redistricting & after 7 years of resistance from Utah legislative leadership, courts upheld the will of the people.This creates an opportunity for voters to elect leaders who reflect their communities.
