I got into linocut and stamps this summer after I quit my job, which made me very anxious about the future, but also incredibly relieved to have left a shitty situation behind and hopeful for what's to come.

Snooze as a song has always been a scource of comfort, but especially during that time.

Like the lotus flower, which grows out from murky waters and shines so beautiful when it blooms, not a single drop sticking to it.

So the matte back beads and the iridescent and metallic ones were specifically picked for this and I got lucky to find a lotus flower pendant that I really liked.

This idea had been stuck in my head for a while, the type of charm I wanted to make for Yoongi. I think it's the first idea for beads I've had, before I even made the charms for the other members.

I wanted it to give the impression of something beautiful and bright emerging from from darkness.

This year I felt especially compelled to create something meaningful for Yoongis birthday.

Maybe it was, because his music was a big source of comfort to me in 2024. Maybe it was because of last summer. Maybe it's just because I miss him.

I'm preparing little gifts for our local Yoongi birthday event and maybe I did go slightly overboard with the amount.

They're phone charms with little lotus pendants and I'm gonna end up with 100 of them. Right now I have 66 and that already looks like a lot. 😅

I did it! The Cardigan aka The Monster™ is done!

Finished it last Saturday at 3am 😅

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty proud of this one! Even snuck in a BTS logo. Personally I'm still loving the juxtaposition of soft wool and crochet to the skull imagery.
