The BLM and Forest Service have sold $10 Christmas tree cutting permits for at least 20 years. They reduced the price to $1. So they are saving people $9. You still have to drive to public lands, find an appropriate tree, cut it, and get it home yourself.

This isn't in CDC or OSHA's wheelhouse. We have the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) that already does this.
