Do you guess ever think about Stede saying “you weren’t a dick, life’s a dick” bc he understands that the shitty things Ed did weren’t an effort to be shitty. He was traumatized and coping poorly and instead of saying “yeah you were kind of a dick” Stede was like, “nah, you just had a bad run”

au where ed is a hairdresser and he has a regular appointment with stede to dye his hair blonde which looks amazing on him and gives him so much confidence and ed would NEVER dissuade him from dying it but he *does* go a bit weak at the knees seeing the white roots peeking through every time
