The Vulkan score aligns pretty well with 1440p and/or 4K average gaming performance, depending on VRAM limitations.

And it matches my prediction, so this seems legit to me.

If the 16 pin/12VHPWR/12V-2x6 connector was specified, or at least treated, as being a 300 W one, it'd never have melted.

Unfortunate for most RTX 5060/Ti owners that get this blank screen issue, as most people don't update their BIOS's.

Best would be for it to be implemented via a driver update, but at least it's just on reboot, and there is a fix.

Regarding new 8GB cards (eg 9060 XT and 5060/Ti):

They'll play the most popular/esports games fine, as I've seen people argue

Which is true, but so will most cards from the past 5~10 years

So they don't have much sell esp when 16GB models don't cost much more

Best just not bothering with them

It'd have a BOM cost of ~$200.

Assuming it has a different GPU (Navi 44) with a die size of ~150~200 mm2, the BOM costs would be ~$150 for the 9060 XT 16 GB, and ~$100 for the 8 GB.

For ref, the 9070 and XT have a BOM cost of ~$200.

Amended BOM costs on the slightly conservative side:

AMD Radeon RX:
9070 XT and 9070 ~$200

Intel Arc:
B580 and B570 ~$150

Nvidia GeForce RTX:
5090 ~$400
5080 and 5070 Ti ~$200
5070 ~$150
5060 Ti 16 GB ~$150
5060 and 5060 Ti 8 GB ~$100

If it'd released a couple of years ago, it'd have had a BOM cost of ~$125.
May 18, 2025 at 1:01 AM
The BOM cost of the RX 9060 XT 16 GB should be ~$200 and the 8 GB ~$150.

Perf wise vs the 5060 Ti's they should be ~10% slower in raster and ~20% slower in RT.

Thus the 9060 XT 16 GB should have an MSRP of ~$350~400 and the 8 GB ~$300~350.

Could be ~$50 less but it's unlikely esp with the tariffs

May 11, 2025 at 12:42 AM
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 BOM cost is ~$250.

For ref, the RTX 4070 Super/Ti's (not Ti Super) BOM cost is about the same, and the Radeon RX 9070's ~$300.
May 11, 2025 at 12:40 AM
The AMD Radeon RX 9700/XT's (both) BOM cost is ~$300.
