I normally default to 3000x3000 at 108 or 120 DPI, or 6000x6000 at 300 if it's going to print and then just crop it once I work out the composition.

7000x5000 at 72 is honestly fine for anything short of like really fine rendering where the lower resolution would be more noticeable.

Something interesting I noticed taking the jacket off, is apparently the linen thread pretty aggressively wicks moisture between the outer layer and the lining

Oh that would actually be super rad. My cats are all indoors and these are most likely the result of Avery slipping out when the screen door was opened so thankfully once they're gone - providing another incident doesn't happen - they should be gone for good.
