Good luck! Just this afternoon, I was surprised to be reminded of some writing by Baby Busiek: you, writing about Archie Goodwin's "Star Wars" for the dear scrappy old Comics Feature! (pay no attention to the unimpressed Schnauzer!):

Maddening. All I learned from this book is that the author has really fond memories of when he himself was much younger. And maybe that Michael Stipe can walk on water.

There were two new biographies of Emperor Tiberius in 2024. One was tepid. The other - this one, from the good folks at @princetonupress.bsky.social - has steadily grown on me the more I've thought about it. Well worth your time, you Roman history buffs!

Such a terrific book, not only about color means to Nature's colorful animals but also what it means to everybody seeing it. Plus, it's beautiful.

Despite its cover, which is ugly, & despite its title, which is a cliche, & despite its premise, which is a polite fib, there's something gloriously thought-provoking on literally every page of this book, new from @fsgbooks.bsky.social

A wonderful chunky reprint from @simonandschuster.bsky.social collecting the insufferable, irresistible war memoirs of Charles de Gaulle.
