Happy World Book Day! Today we celebrated World Book Day at St Catherine’s. Year 7 dressed up as characters from their favourite books. The day is to help promote the enjoyment of books and reading. Reading for pleasure is a big indicator of a child's future success.

Thank you to @Tesco. St Catherine’s School was given the opportunity to receive a grant from Tesco to receive some Pickleball equipment. Thank you to everyone who put a blue token into the Charity boxes at Tesco. We received £500!! We can't wait to start playing Pickleball!!!

It's Competition Day! Good luck to our Year 9 & Year 10 students taking the UK Maths Challenge this morning. A 60-minute challenge that encourages mathematical reasoning & precision of thought.

We were delighted to welcome Sarah from the University of Oxford @ox.ac.uk to our school this week for an inspiring and informative session. Sarah shared invaluable insights about life at Oxford, the wide range of courses available, and practical advice on preparing for university for our students.

Today our Yr9 students started their KS4 Options process with a "Speed Options" event. Our wonderful Yr10 subject ambassadors are introducing all the different subjects. We look forward to welcoming the Yr9 parents to school this evening for the main Options Event.

Merry Christmas from our zero behaviour point students! We are so proud of them all!

Today the whole school enjoyed a Christmas Dinner. We supported two charities, Jumpers for Jimmy and Save the Children. The school provided the meal free of charge as a reward for the students’ outstanding effort this term. @savechildrenuk.bsky.social

Emergency surgery was required this week for our potassium patients!  Our medical club students grabbed their scalpels and stitches. We were stunned by their skills. The students have already improved their interview skills and are hard at work developing a broad set of competencies and interests.
