The chiropractic intern gasping “oh god” upon locating my twisted cervical vertebrae the doctor directed her to adjust, made me laugh heartily & loudly. She was mortified & I realized that being in pain all the time begets its own form of gallows humor that LEMME TELL YA isn’t funny to anyone else
