Just like how (Amazon™ Prime™)™ 1-day delivery has clouded everyone's perception of shipping and delivery times.

Fedora + KDE ftw

No better experience.

It feels really satisfying to build something like this using Go, I've really fell in love with the language. Using it occasionally at work, when I can, but this project I'm hoping to put some proper time and dedication into in my personal time.

*cough* GNOME *cough*.

KDE still seems to lend itself very well to customisation. And of course there's Hyprland, i3, DWM, etc...

Honestly, I'm a big fan of Minecraft on the Deck. Download Prism Launcher in Desktop Mode through Discover, set up a basic modded Minecraft instance with Fabric and a controller support mod, and it plays wonderfully. Very cozy too.

I didn't get my switch until maybe a year or two ago now, really late to the party. And even then, it was bought secondhand from a friend of mine at uni.

It's a good little device, but ever since I got my Steam Deck it's just kinda gathered dust unfortunately.

Thank god. I’m not religious, but I’m glad that at least the Vatican is trying to set an example.

Wait I’m hearing conflicting things here, I thought he was very conservative?

Away from me before I could.

In a similar position, I was too young to vote when the EU referendum came around, I did not have a choice on the outcome, but I have since been negatively effected by many means simply because enough people were misinformed. I never got the chance to be a part of the EU meaningfully, it was taken…

Read: reconsidered

I hate crypto bros, but this is an extremely valid use case that I support, but never considered before because it never occurred to me.
April 21, 2025 at 2:03 PM
My initial uninformed reaction was that of surprise and confusion, I do consider myself anti-crypto. But yeah, seeing the reasoning has me strongly reconsidering that position

Will there be an option for localised date/time stamps?

Ok troll.

No one was making the core issue about skin colour, the original reply was making a remark about the difference in treatment between the demographics of the protests.

Also, “colourblindness is true equality”? Are you dim or has your brain cell not arrived yet?
April 6, 2025 at 9:49 PM
It was a remark at the difference in response from the US police, people are allowed to observe the differences without the subject matter having to be 100% related.

Being met with no police resistance, vs a mass protest comprised of mostly black people against Trump, met with police resistance. *That* is systemic racism. Not all racism is systemic racism, but all systemic racism is inherently racism.
April 6, 2025 at 9:32 PM
The street in joggers, with a fag in his hand vs the same situation but black person, then unfortunately it’s more likely that a police officer will stop the black person suspecting that they’re smoking weed. *That* is a systemic problem. Mass protests against Trump comprised of mostly white people…
April 6, 2025 at 9:32 PM
Are you being intentionally obtuse? At no point did they say that every white person is fucking racist. Systemic racism is not the same thing as some redneck being racist, it’s about how people of different skin colours are treated inside the system that they live in. When a white man walks down…

a positive as it generally means a more stable experience.

Apologies if this came off as rambley, I don’t know if this your first experience with Linux or not, but others may find the information useful? I hope.

Honestly, PopOS is a fantastic option for that. It also has the advantage of being based on Ubuntu so you get the package compatibility with the slight downside (for me, anyway) that it’s based on the LTS version so at most it could package feature updates up to two years old. But this could be …

On the current deployment, there’s not much to see, but I’m working on a blog component where I make pretty heavy use of both, which will hopefully be done soon.
