Styling how comments appear on my blog. One challenge about the fediverse is to account for unpredictable post types. I still need to look at posts with images or links or handles/tags in them.

My test comments are here

Tana Inc, what happens if my personal data is transferred to a country outside the EU? Your privacy policy seems to be incomplete. @kriken.bsky.social

Build one-way integration with the fediverse into my blog. Any comments on my articles on Mastodon and BlueSky appears directly on my page (unless I’ve blocked the person). Still working on design and federating “for real”.

Don't you dare turn your eyes away from history, even the awful, scary parts. If you don't watch it with your own eyes, you rely on others to tell you what you saw. We must all bear witness to what's coming

To position the screen, you can tilt it up from its body. It’s quite impressive how slim the display is. The version I tried years ago had to be 5cm thick to create depth without glasses. This one is only 0.5cm. Have to read into how they’ve done that. I thought the prism was necessary

There is a usb and aux port and of course a port for power. A power button and then there seems to be 3 buttons for interacting with it. Forwards/backwards and pause seems to be what it does in the player out of the box.

As for the screen, as soon as you plug it in it immediately starts displaying nice images with lots of depth in them. It’s not much larger than a phone. Resolution wise it’s not impressive compared to normal screens, but normal screens don’t appear in 3D without 3D glasses.

Wow I’d not expected such a nice packaging. Really minimal use of plastic wrapping and clever compact placement. And then a bunch of really awesome stickers too. #lookingglass

I was an early adopter of the very first Looking Glass holographic screen many years ago. Enjoyed it quite a lot, so when the folks last year announced a pocket version, I weren’t in doubt 😊 #lookingglass

It feels like the AI is aging when it unprovoked tries to be funny 🫥My Claude instance is climbing rapidly towards “grandpa” level. 🥲

(You’ll have to take my word that I didn’t use instructions or a project. This was pure Claude 😅)

Randomly ran into a Squid Games event in Paris at Champs-Élysées. I don’t know what I had expected, but that was SO stupid to watch. Thousands lined up to see randoms stand still for hours. We left right after this video which is the start of first run (you can hear me say “f*ck this”)

This year @theverge.com is really going hard at beating Wired to having the most cursed Black Friday RSS feed that capitalism could summon. Fuck healthy consumerism, journalistic integrity and the planet, amiright?

Just got in a bus in Copenhagen ☺️will be in Paris at 8am in 20hrs. Timing is perfect: I can play with my OP-XY for a few hours, we’ve packed sandwiches for lunch and dinner and then go to bed and wake up in Paris. The money we save on cheap tickets (and the hotel night) goes to food and wine
