Yes, this is why one has to provide constant guidance and oversight to LLMs when writing code. This includes scrutinizing changes to prevent the LLM from going in nonsensical directions. This all said, the productivity gain is worth the effort in my opinion.

I was contemplating the blatant corruption they we are witnessing in the new administration and it reminded me of this Lincoln quote. The quote is apropos since he wrote in a letter to his friend, J.B. Speed, in response to the nativist and anti-immigrant sentiments of the Know-Nothing Party.

I'm fairly certain that it is not legal but who is going to prosecute, certainly not the DOJ. And even if someone does, how many months/years will it take to work through the courts?

Yeah, it’s the progression that we have seen time and time again…so yeah, I think it’s likely.
But a constitutional amendment requires 2/3 of both house to pass and then has to ratified by 3/4 of the states.

Agreed. After many years of going through all types of gadgets, I now just use a hand grinder, an Aeropress, and good beans. Sometimes it’s best to just keep things simple. Also requires no electricity, less prone to breakage, easy to clean, and very portable. Great for camping.

Yeah, I have had to give Claude specific instructions not to make more changes than necessary and that works pretty well.
