A double batch of cookie dough fudge today, the first of a very fudgy Christmas. It's going to be a decadent year.

All this ICE stuff reminds me of the Stanford Prison Experiment. Which they end early because it was so horrific.

Murdering someone because you don't like what they stood for doesn't change or stop what they stood for.

It's amazing how intending to do some housework can transform into fixing the vacuum cleaner instead. I'm back where I started but still somehow have a great sense of accomplishment.

In an affront to my introversion, complete strangers are now following me and I don't know what to do about it. I rarely post as it is, I have no platform of expertise to share, and social media never does what I want it to do anyway.

Heard on #CBC Cross Country Checkup the other evening that Canadians lose something like $3b a year to online foreign gambling companies. At least with trade tariffs we get something in return. Sure made me feel like changing my shopping habits won't be noticeable though.

Finished The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet last night. It's kind of plotless, linear and mild, and very carefully gives each character a moment (can't really call them subplots). It's hopeful about human nature in a way that's exactly opposite to current reality.
