A question the next Democratic POTUS will need to deal with is what to do about the fact that companies are going to keep their prices artificially high even after the Trump tariff regime is unwound.

Between Platner and Fetterman, I am beginning to think that maybe making sure your giant, plain-spoken white dude candidate isn't also a chud is important to the vetting process for Dems looking for non-establishment candidates.

We are never going to stop litigating who lost Vietnam, are we?

Remarkable how quick center left outlets like PSA, the Bulwark, Klein, etc, were to accept the framing of Trump and his allies that this was a left on right assassination. If this guy turns out to be a Groyper, the "Charlie was a good guy" self-flagelation looks even sillier.

The Tron:Legacy soundtrack and it's remixed version might be the best put on headphones at the office music ever created.

I want more Dems to say with their full chest. "I don't care if Garcia was a gang member. We don't disappear people." Frankly, if that is a losing argument, then I don't want to win.

It's funny because the post-war system that these people claim to want to return to was, in large 6 on the idea that America would not do exactly what it's doing now.

There is literally HIV being transmitted from mom to baby because of the illegal shutdown of US AID and now Trump’s State Department wants to spend 400 million dollars on Tesla cyber trucks. This is not about efficiency. It’s a smash and grab.

I, personally, am not an accelerationist, but the contradictions sure are heightening.

The Christian right has hated PEPFAR since it was implemented since it helps people with an STD, and one associated with being gay specifically. Big win for those assholes.

Me watching "The Measure of a Man" in 1995 "Of course Data is a person. He can laugh and cry just like the rest of the crew."

Me watching it in 2025: "Hell yeah, admiral, burn that AI. It's fooled our heros into thinking its more than just a chatbot. You have to save them."

I don't think people on the left have fully reckoned with the fact that the J6ers were proven right by history.

I was going to joke that wishing for Gaetz to be pulled is setting up a monkeys paw situation, but any version of that joke i could imagine ended up with someone better replacing him.

"Listen, I this cabinet is objectively bad and terrible, but have you considered how great the memes will be. Linda WITH THE STEEL CHAIR!" I mumble to myself as the EMTs sedate me.

It's darkly funny that no one talked about what gutting the Dept of Education will mean for women's sports.

A Fox host as SecDef feels like the writers in season 6 of a broadcast TV show phoning in a script they stole from a fan at a convention.

I made the mistake of watching Skill Up's negative but well thought out Veilguard review on YouTube. Now half my feed is videos titled some version "ThIs GaMe WoNt LeT Me Be A SeRiAl KiLlEr, BiOwArE iS EVIL."

Real nice job by the algorithm.

I would really like to stop seeing Democats and other left-wing people say Trump is stupid or he ran the worst campaign ever. At this point, I think it's clear that underestimating him and his hangers on is killing us.

strong case to make that the single worst political decision democrats made this decade was passing pandemic aid. was it the right thing to do? absolutely. the aid package was an experiment in generous social support and it was a rousing success. unfortunately, voters give credit to trump for it.
The One Thing Voters Remember About Trump
We asked voters for the one thing they remembered most about the Trump era. Few of them cited major events like the pandemic and Jan. 6.
