from what i hear, they intentionally made this game suck to discourage the "beat every game one by one in order" mentality that most would arrive with, but, uh--

oh yeah--by the way, if you're on windows and you used bitlocker on your C: drive, remember to have your recovery key on hand.

if microsoft starts installing "ai components" behind my back, then at least it's nice to know that they implemented a ready-made whack-a-mole game here.
[well, assuming this isn't just for copilot+ pcs, which mine thankfully isn't.]

Alas, poor Finita. Vendor lock-in and Wine's quirks have screwed her over.
Fortunately, I was able to set up a Pi-hole with a *very* beefy blocklist, and most telemetry-blocking tools are better than they were a year ago.
Still, this kind of stings.
