I'm sure the teams for BOTW and splatoon are separate, but I'd imagine the invisible turf rank to be similar in concept to BOTW/TOTK's difficulty scaling. advance further in the story? harder enemies. win more turf matches? invisible rank go up and you get matched with people more your speed.

it just astounds me that we can have a decently done matchmaking system for one part of the game, but then for more casual players you just get thrown into a pool of...literally everyone who also plays and you're basically told "good luck!"

literally how hard would it actually be to give players an invisible turf war rank separate from our Ranked standing that dictates the type of people we get matched up against? genuine question btw for those who know more about games than I do

if anything, I feel MORE motivated to create in a sense. my art is nowhere near as good as some people's (really gotta work on my fundamentals lol) but with the rise of AI i'm realizing that...that's part of the charm? you can TELL that a person made my art BECAUSE of the mistakes

oh I've been running mint for a good few years now! I actually made the switch back when microsoft was hardcore trying to roll out windows 11 and the only real reason I have a dual boot setup is because some games just...do not play well otherwise lol

not to mention the fact that if I mess up on a spy quest bc of a glitch (actually happened tonight, damned wall), I don't feel like an absolute idiot for it or like I ruined everyone else's run! we still cleared it! everyone still gets rewards!

In sky I'll be waiting at a puzzle set up for 4 people, and see at least 3 other players glitch past the puzzle and not stop to help. In warframe I'll hop into an assassination quest, get lost, and have 2 people running back to where I am to show me how to get to the boss room.
