I've been working a lot on my Godot streaming environment and been making excellent progress. Here's a little test mockup with a custom clock model I made, plus video from OBS streaming into the engine via NDI.

I forgot to announce today's stream (oops), but I did some more 3D modelling in Blender. This time, the model is based on the YoYoJam Unleashed, a modified shape yo-yo that's great for looping tricks. Though it looks simple, I learned to use the array modifier to add its starburst response system!

I had a lot of fun on stream today making a yo-yo in Blender. It's nothing fancy, but I got to review how to use Blender, which I haven't done in months. Plus! I got to talk a lot about yo-yos!

This model is based on the YoYoJam Dark Magic, the yo-yo I learned all the basic tricks on.

I built a basic overlay in Godot that reacts to Twitch cheer events. I use Firebot to forward the events to Godot through HTTP requests. Here's a quick demo.

I started working on a new "Wave" emote at the end of stream. I keep telling myself to "trust the process" because my goodness, art is difficult.

I figured out how to make my custom buttons resize automatically. No more manually editing each button's child nodes!

It was a struggle, but I'm getting the hang of Godot's control nodes. (Please ignore the weird text, I still need to figure out bitmap fonts).

As an aside, I tried daily driving Linux, but I got tired of having to fix and work around so many things that I gave up. I still enjoyed my time with it, but I want to spend my time making things rather than tinkering with my computer.

I made a schedule template on stream today! It was a lot more time-consuming than I expected to get this fairly simple layout. Still, I now have a base I can iterate on.

Next, I'll figure out how to convert the text I drew into a full-fledged font.

I finally got around to making some panel images for my Twitch channel! I made these on stream, and I studied some of the UI from the GBA Pokemon games to create the frame. There's definitely a lot of room for improvement, but I feel like I leveled up my pixel art skills.
