VP By lunalaplays The new boy’s one eye was such a vibrant bright blue it was almost blinding. The other eye was so dark grey it was almost black. Both of them stared at Rhys through tight slits, tense and unwavering. He passed him in the hall without saying a word. He was being yelled at. The new boy. Rhys crept up to the door and listened. Vague accusations thrown around. Stealing food. Lying. Threats of punishment. Rhys peeked through the gap in the door to see the boy’s eyes again. Unwavering, staring down the adult screaming in his face. Visage tense, yet eerily calm. He accepted the punishment without a word of rebuttal or defence. Deep in the night, Rhys gingerly jumped out of bed. His small feet were silent on the wooden floors. He knew he was good at this. Across the hallway. Past the kitchen. Pry open the window with practised motions. Climb out and pass the courtyard, climb into the window to the pantry, like he had done many times before. It was easier this way than trying to pick the door. This way you didn’t get caught. Take only a little, so they don’t suspect anything. His spoils tucked under his shirt he scurried back across the courtyard while scarfing down a stale piece of bread, so after all of this, his rumbling stomach wouldn’t be the one to reveal him. Back into the dorm. Delicately move a floor panel under his bed to hide his score. Then fall asleep with cold feet, beating heart, but less angry stomach. Everyone left the room in the morning. Rhys grabbed the boy and held him back by his arm. He closed the door and pressed an apple into the boy’s hands. “Don’t show anyone.” The blue and grey eyes narrowed suspiciously. “What are you doing? What is your game?” Rhys sighed. “You cant keep trying to steal food. They are going to make it harder and harder for all of us. I know how to do it. I can show you.” “You took this?” “Yes. We do it all the time. Me and the girls. Val and Amy. We know the ins and outs of this place. They don’t like us, so we get creative. We got each others backs.” The tiefling’s eyes softened for the first time. “Can I..” “I have a feeling they don’t like you here either. Do you want to have our backs as well?” The boy’s grip on the apple tightened. He hadn’t eaten it immediately like Rhys had expected. “Yes. Yes I can have your back.” “I’m Rhys.” “Kili.” Kili stepped over to his bed and touched his blanket that was scrunched up to a pile. “You can come out.” He whispered softly. To Rhys surprise the blanket moved, lifted and revealed a small black and white tiefling, one eye the same dark grey as Kili’s, the other bright white, yet so soft and shy when it landed upon Rhys. Kili handed the apple over and the small tiefling bit into it immediately, obviously so hungry. “And this is Kelari.” Kili introduced. Rhys was too stunned to reply. “Rhys got that for you. We’re gonna have each other’s backs.” “Thank you Rhys!” The voice was so sweet, Rhys heart sung. “Always.” he replied quietly.

“If this is your idea of studying, I get now why your grades are they way they are..” Rhys mumbled into skin behind Kelari’s ear between kisses. “Hey!” Kelari gasped in mock offence and used his hands previously caressing Rhys sides to playfully squeeze the drow’s waist in revenge. Rhys chuckled and bit Kelari’s ear, eliciting a delicious gasp from the smaller man. “Behave.” Rhys murmured lowly into the tiefling’s ear, grasped both of his hands to push them up into the bookshelf behind him. “Or do you want me to stop?” He raised his eyebrows suggestively, the dilated pupils and agape mouth from his partner was enough of a response. “That’s what I thought.” he growled lowly before laying increasingly intense kisses along the stretch of Kelari’s neck. The quiet sounds of pages turning and steps of people shuffling around started fading away, the only important sounds were Kelari’s whiny gasps, delicious fuel to his fervour, as he ground his body into the tiefling’s. The only important feeling was Kelari’s body under his fingers, shaking with excitement, desperate to kiss Rhys in return. The drow chuckled and shook his head in thought. “You really can’t take us anywhere…”

#Kelari used to be quite …prolific with his use of drugs and alcohol. He realized that he was using it to numb feelings and lower his threshold for.. stupid decisions. He didn’t like the person he was when he was high, so he had to quit.

Kelari’s would honestly not differ too much from his normal stats.

INT: 10
WIS: 10
CHA: 16

His game stats are higher in some places for gameplay reasons, but overall he is just a really normal guy. Without Sorcery, he would just be regular charming, not 20 Cha charming xD

"I was wondering... Well, you know, we usually stick to our usual... how do I say this, "roles", in bed right?" Uneasy, shifting from one foot to the other, Kelari was making intense eye contact with the plant on the side table to avoid the gaze of both Astarion, who was seated on the couch, and Rhys, standing at the entrance to the kitchen. He was aware he just started this conversation with one of them half exiting the room, instead of at a more opportune time. One of the reasons he was avoiding their looks was he knew they would question him. But he suddenly felt ready after weeks of ruminating, so he went for it. "Yes, we do, well, you do." Rhys replied, voice calm and gentle, but Kelari swore he heard an underlying uncertainty in it. "Star and I have become quite comfortable in switching I would say, wouldn't you?", ", he addressed Astarion. Kelari's gaze finally landed on the pale man across the room from him and was greeted with red eyes piercing through him, brows furrowed in thought. Immediately upon making eye contact though, Astarion's eyes softened and he closed the book he had been reading and discarded it without taking his eyes off his tiefling boyfriend. "Come here baby." His pale hand reached out to Kelari and as always he found himself tugged into Astarion's orbit, his pull a force too strong to resist. He slipped into it easily, comforted by the closeness to his partner, he slit onto the couch next to him and Astarion kissed his pulse point on the inside of his wrist. "Okay love, now again. But actually say what you wanted to say, don't be scared." Kelari chuckled. Of course Astarion knew him well enough by now to recognize his anxious rambling. He looked up again to see Rhys approach and sit down on his other side. He leaned against the half drow, connected to both of them he felt bold enough to come straight out with it. He looked straight into Astarion's eyes as he said: "I want to switch sometime. I want to top."

The look in Kelari eyes when they parted told him that he felt very similar. The tiefling had never looked more beautiful to Rhys, slight flush on the light patches of his face, breathing heavily, his pupils widened and a look in his eyes the drow had never seen before. A joy so strong it bubbled out of every crack and filled the whole room. “That was…” Kelari started. “Yeah..” Rhys continued, hearing his voice equally breathless. “I can't believe we waited so long to do this.” Kelari laughed. Rhys chuckled. “Everyone was right, we’re idiots… I wouldn't mind doing that again…” Before he fully finished the sentence, Kelari was already pulling him back in, connecting their lips in a passionate kiss.

“Do you remember?What happened before passed out? what you said to me?” Kelari tensed up and his lips tightened in a way Rhys recognised immediately. He really wondered how he had been so blind all these years, but it didn’t matter now. Here and now was the only thing that mattered. Kelari looked down to his hands as he nonchalantly answered “I doubt anything I said had a lot of weight behind it. I mean, I had just gotten hit with a bunch of heavy rocks, my head was probably really messed up.” “Ri.” Kelari head snapped up at the serious tone of Rhys’ voice. “Did you hear what I answered?” “You answered?” the tiefling asked exasperated. the sweet fool Rhys thought. they both were. “Of course I did.” He breathed in deeply to prepare to repeat himself from a few hours ago, repeat the phrase he had last said as a little kid, to the same black and white tiefling. looking back at him with the same bright eyed hopeful expression. “I love you Kelari. I’m in love with you. I have been for years, since I had the faintest idea of what love could be. It’s been you.” “Are you serious?” Rhys lifted one shaky hand to cup Kelari’s face. He smoothed over the tiefling’s cheek with his thumb in almost absentminded reverie. Both of them held their breath, the whole city seemed to stand still for them, for this moment. Rhys finally sought out the eye contact he’d been avoiding since he stepped in the room, uncaring now if the tears spilled over onto his cheeks. He needed Kelari to see, to feel, the clear message of his heart. He didn’t have a tadpole of his own to communicate his thoughts so clearly and words couldn’t possibly describe the depth of his devotion. So, he opened his heart and let the man look straight into his soul and as he stared into the two mismatched orbs he saw the same devotion returned to him in kind. There was no change. nothing new. It had always been there, he had shut himself off from seeing it. But now he could never unsee it. He just hoped Kelari saw it too. “Ri? Can I..” Like many times before in his life, Kelari still managed to surprise him. “Can I kiss you?” Tears of joy filled Rhys eyes, the earnestness, the joy in the tiefling’s eyes, the rushed eagerness in his voice and the sheer happiness on his face, happiness because of him, because he loved him, overwhelmed the drow with emotion. Choked up, with shaking voice and hands he responded, straight from his heart. “There is nothing I’ve ever wanted more in my life.” With his hand still on Kelari’s cheek he delicately pulled him close, the tiefling pushed forward at the same time. The moment their lips connected, Rhys knew his life would be changed forever. Kelari’s lips were soft, slightly dry from sleep. He was slightly cold, the way his draconic ancestry always made him feel but was warming up quickly with the friction of their lips. Rhys had intended for this to be chaste and tender, and it was for a moment, but the way Kelari fully leaned into the kiss, opened his lips and sighed with enjoyment, Rhys couldn’t help passionately holding the tiefling tighter, slipping his tongue past Kelari’s lips, tasting him fully. The kiss was something Rhys had only ever read about in books, sparks electrifying every touch, his body alight with heat and excitement, yet making him feel safe and wrapped into the comfort of their shared intimacy. Kissing had never felt like this before.
