I've never used Flash for making games so correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't you just load/unload characters based on what language is being used?
Or as a last resort, couldn't you have specific, separate versions for those languages?

I can only imagine how much of a nightmare it would be to translate jokes and mannerisms into so many languages.

Have you tried seeing if your device has custom DNS settings?
I remember trying to debug for 7 hours because I couldn't get ads to show on an app I was helping develop, only to realize my adblocking DNS was on the entire time.

M is pretty common everywhere. Maybe a combination of keys (EG Ctrl + M) would be better in preventing a headache from bugfixing accidentally triggering it.

.webp is a good image format. It's essentially a mix between jpeg and PNG optimized for web usage. Everyone just hates it because most software out there, ironically, doesn't support the .webp format, either for attachment or editing.
