I have 3 whole followers so I'm kind of a big deal
I felt anxious and I didn't know what to do so I made #bread??

Oatmeal and walnuts and dates and ground flax, molasses, yeast, salt and white and wheat flour.

I didn't get much rise bc I need to tweak the ratios with the non glutinous things but it's so soft and good

I read She Came from the Swamp by Darva Green and loved it. It's a #sapphic #monster romance that starts off with disposing a dead body, which pretty much immediately got me hooked. Loved the blend of contemporary and paranormal, and it has a high #spice level.

Its on KindleU 🙂

I made the most delicious protein brownies and I didn't measure half of it so I'll never be able to recreate them exactly 😅

Chocolate strawberry with pomegranate arils, in a bread pan bc I used the other pan for a cake.

So I finished Astrid Parker Doesn't Fail. It was a wholesome, comfy #sapphic romance and I really enjoyed it. Definitely going to read the other two #books

My first attempt at anadama bread

The only thing I would do differently is turn down the heat and cook a little longer to compensate for the moisture in the oats I added

Unleashed by Laura Mrazik

Spotted this #painting today, love the combination of motion in the swirls and the rich gold against the pale pink #flowers.

#Peonies I think?

Also the gold is a great contrast to the black, it makes it look very sharp beside the soft petals.

Listening to an audiobook on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy by the founder, Hayes. Feels like more of a lecture but in a good way.

He has SUCH A SOOTHING VOICE.

I literally took a nap after lol.

Butter, Sugar, Magic by Jessica Rosenburg

I wanted to like this one because I like the idea of a cozy magical bakery.

But the mc is whiny, and it is very dialogue oriented with little plot or description. No magical cozy vibes. 0/10.

I finished Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield

I actually really loved it. It was sad and beautiful and full of little facts and metaphors. It's advertised as horror but it's more about the nuances of a lesbian marriage with kind of a thriller/ horror twist at the end.

Really love the wonky perspective from the checkerboard background in combination with the #tea pot, very Alice in Wonderland vibes

I just started Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield.

I was expecting it to be a scarier, but so far it seems to be a close look into the minds and relationship between two women. It has a kind of melancholy energy that is also beautiful and intimate.

Finished A Court of Thorns and Roses- I lived the blend of darkness and romance, her fae lore, and descriptions of monsters were me favorite parts. And her characters have depth, even the initially unlikable ones are lovable. I know I'm late to the party, but highly recommend.

The House in the Cerulean Sea wound up being such a sweet story, and truly cozy read full of metaphor. I really enjoyed it. Going to have to check out more by TJ Clune, and excited for their new book.

Lately I've been playing My Time at Sandrock. I love cozy games and this one is great.

Most of your time is spent building, resource gathering, light combat, exploring mines with jetpacks, and befriending villagers. There are mini games, some cute easter eggs, and it can be co-op.

A+ 🥰

The House in the Cerulean Sea is what I'm currently listening to. My bookworm friend suggested TJ Klune for wholesome reads. So far it seems like young orphans with super powers and a compassionate social worker. Cute so far and the main character is a gay dude named Linus. ❤️

Yesterday I finished reading Emily Wilde's Encyclopedia of Faeries.

It's an interesting mix of cozy and dark, kind of like sitting by a warm fire in brisk winter.

I love that Emily is written as a character with autism but highly independent and her characteristics are her strengths.
