It's one of my favorites! My closest local yarn shop doesn't carry it, I'd have to drive an hour or so to get to the next one that does. Sooooo I fixed the problem 🤣

I hope you can find a way to make it work for your needs! Bonsai Woman on YouTube has the tutorials that I recommend most to people.

That’s fair. I had to play around quite a bit with different grips and movements until I found one that worked for me. A good needle makes a huge difference too - Keila Nalbinding straight needles are way more comfy than the usual tapered ones people start with.

Have you ever heard of nalbinding? I’ve found it’s far more gentle on my hands than even loom knitting (I have nerve damage).

Go for it! One thing that might help is using an iron-on patch on the inside first, to keep the fabric in place and more stable while you’re stitching. I did this for a security guard friend’s uniform pants a few times, since he’d wear out the inseams doing his rounds.

It's a 3-ply actually. I have the feeling the skewing is partly due to tension issues... I know my tension is all over the place while I'm figuring out how to knit in a way that won't ruin my hands.
