Like the sea critter, but harder to read.
"We claim Half of the Globe as our neighbourhood", says the disgraceful representative of man oncedescribed a prolific paedophile as "dangerous" and the worst person he'd ever met, with "not one decent cell in his body".

Not the most feasible place to drive pilings for a bridge then... and not a place most of us would likely want to be driving over...

... and every now and then, some of it washes up on the shore.
November 14, 2025 at 2:43 AM
Amusingly, while PM at the height of Brexit shenanigans, Boris 'let the bodies pile high' Johnson suggested building a bridge between Scotland and Northern Ireland. Only trouble was, apart from the miracle of engineering it would take, it would have to have passed over the 'Beaufort's Dyke'.

So, today's reporting in Stuff demonstrates not just the importance of commas, but also the importance of ensuring a clear and correct order and structure to clauses within a sentence.

... and of course, Epstein died just a few months later.

Like taking Candy from a baby?

With a headline like that, I can’t be 100% sure that there isn’t a child out somewhere desperately trying to make their parents believe them when they say “… but the Prime Minister stole my bike!”
November 11, 2025 at 6:39 AM
Welll, shite :(

Just keeps on going, this one.
November 9, 2025 at 7:11 AM
I said eugenics. I should have said phrenology. These are different things.

They are not, however, entirely unconnected.

Pictured, is a man undergoing Aryan race determination tests under Nazi Germany's Nuremberg Laws, which were used to determine whether a person was considered a “Jew”.

It indeed appears so.

I wonder if Subway's bread still contains so much sugar that it's classified as cake for tax purposes in Ireland?

Remember how Trump fears being seen with "losers", as though it somehow would make him look weak... even to the point disparaging fallen soldiers?

Well, a generous take suggests that's what just happed with RFK Jr.

Basically, he feels merely being around a sick person makes him look less healthy.
November 7, 2025 at 12:09 AM
Oh, I don't know.

Green Shoots could be worse. Doesn't at all inspire anything other than new growth and signs of recovery. What could possibly go wrong for the Blue Party That Is Blue with a slogan like that?
November 5, 2025 at 5:11 AM
I mean, he didn't say it on the ACT Party page now, did he?
November 5, 2025 at 2:16 AM
Responding with "I said tit as ACT leader so I don't have to answer", to an OIA about a statement you've made as "David Seymour, MP for Epsom and ACT Leader" alongside your parliamentary contact details?

Yeah, that shouldn't fly. Not least because he's the DPM and a relevant associate minister 24/7
November 5, 2025 at 2:14 AM
.. but as it happens, these comments subject to FOI were in fact made through the David Seymour facebook page, and therefore were the comments of the man himself, in ALL his guises, including that of Deputy Prime Minister, and indeed, as MP, as that's exactly how his page describes him.
November 5, 2025 at 1:56 AM
Just saw this flash up on the breaking news ticker and...

Waaaaaaiiiiit a darn minute. This means ... *does maths* ...

... that the last time unemployment was this high was ALSO towards the end of a failing National Government.

Anyone else beginning to spot a pattern here?
November 4, 2025 at 10:17 PM
No, seriously though... thoroughly weird parallel, and while history doesn't tend to repeat exactly, it does riff here and there.

At least he hasn't hired an architect to redesign the whole of DC as some wank neo-classical pet project yet.

Yet.

In the unlikely event that anybody still needs a strike placard...
October 23, 2025 at 1:07 AM
WTF!?!?
October 21, 2025 at 10:04 AM
Can we all just take a moment here to appreciate the frank absurdity of the fact that:

Americans elected a president who is LITERALLY taking a wrecking ball to the White House

... even as he metaphorically takes a wrecking ball to US democracy itself.
October 21, 2025 at 4:23 AM
Dear 1News,

You got the spelling of "is" wrong: "On" is a very different word.

You're welcome.
October 19, 2025 at 7:24 AM
Maybe it was one of the nicer/more convenient plots to have built it on. They're now building something on the brownfield remains of the osteopathic clinic further down with a tall crane.

Didn't even know its demo was so recent!

I'd guess the car lot at the bottom by the river is more challenging.
October 17, 2025 at 5:30 AM
Pacific Towers, I think it's called.

Most of that whole stretch down the hill feels underutilised of course, and there's something going up with a crane now further down.

How do these things develop? Could the kitchen showroom hold out as a kind of 'spite business'? lol
October 17, 2025 at 5:12 AM
Given that they so uncommonly situated, I don't suppose you'd happen to know anything about that singular stand-alone high-rise residential apartment block just near Henderson police station would you?

I've always passed it wondering why they only built one? And surely there's a plan for more?
October 17, 2025 at 5:12 AM
My Alexa misheard an instruction and sent this to my printer over wifi.

I’m not sure whether I’m more surprised that it’s clearly not backed by a LLM (and thus won’t write that letter or solve maths homework for you)…

… or that it offers to print lines on paper as though that’s a solution!?
October 16, 2025 at 3:15 AM
I wonder what's on the MoCA?

What did Trump just claim to be easy for the first few questions, trickier in the middle, and fiendish enough that not many would score top marks out of a room full of top US politicians, journalists, and the PM of Finland?

Oh!

Oh dear.

Methinks he's declining.

If running a country is like running a company (it isn't, and god knows Mr 'I used to run an airline' should have taught us that by now)...

Then coming in and selling off anything of value you can get away with is "asset stripping".

They intend on asset-stripping the country.
