I went to see the monks as they journeyed through the old town I lived in - it was cold, but I stood there and talked with people and my friend about how to practice mindfulness and peace. This is me, standing on a bench after someone helped me up, watching for the monks.

Rest in Peace to one of our good governors, Jim Hunt. My grandpa worked for him and in return, my family was close and my great-grandparents got to meet him during their visit. He sent flowers to my grandpa's funeral a few years later. He took the time to know people and he will be missed. #JimHunt

I always advertised Fablehaven as a child because it was my favorite YA fantasy series and I am excited that a movie is in the works and I can use my knowledge I've obtained since 2008 to win trivia. It's like coming home.

So I binged Bread of Angels by Patti Smith and the latest Fablehaven mini novel tonight - over 450 pages scoured in about four hours. I cried at the end of Bread of Angels. Perfect encapsulation of grief.
