I have many thoughts on Mina getting delayed
It got delayed I'm conflicted. On one hand, nothing wrong with extra polish. On the other hand, Yacht did the Team Cherry strategy of being super hush hush about any Mina progress, but they were much more quieter than TC. At least Team Cherry gave fans a little crumbs despite them not actively communicating with the community on anything. Yacht only released the kickstarter for Mina, got the goal met and went dead silent about the developments for 3 years... all the while milking the shit out of Shovel Knight. Hell they were at the Game Awards last year and never even fucking *mentioned* Mina. All the praise from Geoff and co. was directed to Shovel Knight and more Shovel Knight content and it's just aggravating to see all that while those waiting for Mina get fucking zero news or updates, not even the tiniest bits of crumbs. I wish game studios, AAA or indie, actually communicated with their fans more. Or at least give fun hints or something to keep the hype around it going. That's why Silksong was successful, even though Team Cherry was mostly quiet, they were at least putting effort into getting fans excited for release. Meanwhile Yacht has been radio silent, unless it's for their cash cow. I want Mina The Hollower to succeed. I understand why they delayed it (heavy competition) but good God, do the bare minimum and get fans to give a shit about your new game and stop milking other shit.
